We have something exciting to share with you! NOORI organized an online art competition this Mother’s Day to celebrate and honor motherhood. The aim was to encourage women to express their feelings about mothers and motherhood through various forms of art and writeups.
It was organized in collaboration with the Jannat Welfare Foundation. Miss Ayesha Awan, CEO of the Jannat Welfare Foundation, shared a heartfelt message in honor of mothers. She also supported organizing this online art competition for women, encouraging creativity and empowerment.
We were delighted to see the enthusiastic participation of women across diverse backgrounds. The submissions included paintings, digital art, and articles, each capturing the profound impact of motherhood in unique ways.
After careful deliberation, our judges selected the top three entries:
1- Sarwat Farrukh | Fatima Farrukh (Artist)
Sarwat Farrukh and her daughter Fatima, a talented mother-daughter duo, collaborated on a piece of art that beautifully captures the essence of unconditional love, portraying it as a divine gift sent by God to enrich our world. Sarwat Farrukh conceived the concept, while Fatima skillfully brought it to life through her illustration.
2- Dr Sadia Khalid | Amber Wajid (Artist)
Dr. Sadia Khalid and Amber Wajid collaborated on a piece of art centered around ‘Dupatta’ or ‘Aanchal’ serving as symbols of protection for children by their mothers. Dr. Sadia Khalid conceived the concept, while Amber Wajid brought it to life through illustration.
3- Farah Deeba Akbar (Writer)
Farah Deeba Akbar shared an article on ‘Maa K Barabar Koi Nahin,’ an emotional tribute that explores the profound impact of motherhood through heartfelt narratives and personal stories, emphasizing that no one can replace a mother’s love.
We sincerely thank all participants for graciously sharing their talents with us. Each entry was a powerful testament to the incredible role of mothers in our lives.
Stay tuned for more initiatives from NOORI, and congratulations to our winners for making this Mother’s Day truly special!
