Raising Climate Change Awareness Powerful Session Held at KPC

NOORI, an online social startup committed to women’s empowerment and community development, took a significant step in raising climate change awareness by hosting an engaging and informative session on “Climate Change and Its Impacts on Everyday Life” on Saturday, June 28, at the Karachi Press Club.

The session was led by Nasir Ali Pahnwar, an award-winning Environmental & Climate Specialist, who shared valuable insights on the pressing climate challenges facing Pakistan and the world, and how everyday actions contribute to environmental sustainability. His thought-provoking talk shed light on the urgent need for climate literacy and individual responsibility in combating climate change.

The session was facilitated by Nasir Aijaz, a respected senior journalist and author, who underscored the importance of holding such platforms to raise public awareness on urgent issues like climate change.

Pirah Aijaz, a dynamic trainer, writer, and the founder of NOORI, shared the vision behind the organization and the impactful initiatives it has led so far. She emphasized that real change begins at the grassroots level, and community-driven awareness is crucial to building a more sustainable and informed society.

The event brought together a diverse audience, including university students, professionals, small business owners, and founders of various startups and organizations. Their participation reflected a growing interest and commitment within the public to understand and address the environmental issues affecting daily life.

To raise climate change awareness, NOORI proudly teamed up with numerous partners who played a vital role in making this initiative a success. We extend special thanks to:
